What To Do, Say and Not Say When U.S. Police Stop Your Car

I haven't seen the entire video the creators are selling, but it might be worth buying, especially if you have teenagers in the house.

In light of a recent court ruling, the driver would now need to affirmatively say, "I am not answering your questions" or something similar.

I've thoroughly enjoyed and agreed with your latest posts. The police, many commenters to your previous posts, and I'm sure CBP, take a tack similar to, "why don't you just answer the questions if you don't have anything to hide." The right to privacy isn't about hiding what you've done wrong...it's about privacy. Next time you get the "don't have anything to hide" line, ask the officer if he/she's married. If so, ask if you might come to the officer and officer's spouse's house that weekend to watch them have sex. After all, they're married, and society clearly sees nothing wrong with what they're doing, so they shouldn't mind that you watch if they have nothing to hide. Or do you suppose they value their privacy and would decline?

Good stuff. In this video you'll find yet another way to handle these encounters. I love he does not shut down the radio.

This is a great video. The other videos in the series show other scenarios, as well as what not to do. They can be found on Youtube, I'm sure.

A separate, excellent video: Don't talk to Police by law professor and former defense lawyer James Duane. The second part of the video is officer George Bruch of the Virginia Beach police department responding to Mr. Duane. Both Videos are very much worth watching.

Very Disney.

The cop would have shot the kid and claimed 'furtive movement forced him to defend himself from probable attack on a peace officer'

If you are approached by a cop, assume he wants to find any excuse to kill you.
