Ohio Is For Losers
Sherman Oaks, California
It's official: My home state of Ohio is "getting poorer, older and dumber – and making all the wrong moves to reverse the situation," writes Chester E. Finn Jr. in the Wall Street Journal.
The most galling statistic is that Ohio ranks 41st among the states in the percentage of adults with bachelor's degrees.
These are the people who will be deciding the presidential election.

I'm ambivalent about this information--simultaneously shamed by my origins in and confirmed in my biases against Ohio. There are many reasons that I haven't lived there in 20 years, and this not only convinces me that those reasons are right, but that there are so many more.
Oh, yeah, and I'm horrified by the notion of Ohio as electoral bellwether. I guess I'll have to take (cold) comfort that at least Ohio isn't Michigan or Pennsylvania or Missouri.

P.S. Please resume posting links to pics of hot wives and mistresses of heads of state. That would help bring me out of the funk that this post about our home state has induced.
This may explain why so many voters in Ohio are "undecided." And I'm sure this extends to many other aspects of their lives...
