Well, now we can find out just how deep is the hypocrisy of the international set... wait and see if Thailand joins Burma as the pariah du jour of the self-righteous secular sect.
There is a world of difference between a country in which unelected military rulers (a) treat their citizens as right-less prisoners available for slave labor, or (b) generally leave everyone alone. Burma is the former, and, if these uniforms stay in power, the latter is probably how it will be here.
Notice that the coup council has not imposed a curfew, which would leave the military in solitary possession of the streets. Late-living Thais would not stand for that.
